Make A Choice!

Most of the time, spirit filled Christians pray over unneccessary issues-we pray amiss. Our efforts become in vain when we pray amiss. It is important then that we do not only pray but pray aright. God has given the liberty to make a choice, the choice to be a blessing or the choice to be a burden. We have be given the grace to make a choice that will make or destroy of future. The Twelve Disciples made the choice to follow Him-God didn't force them but a solely decision was made (Matt 10:1-4, Mark 3: 13-19). Jesus made the choice to die for our sins and to redeem us by His precious blood that was shed on the cross of calvary (1 Corinthians 5:7, 1 Peter 1:18-19 , Rev 5:9, Col 1:14, Eph 1:7). Some hrs ago, I opened my mouth to make a short prayer. I said," God, may I not be too busy for you." The Spirit of God spoke to me instantly, " It needs no prayer: the choice is yours." Did you hear that? I couldn't help but ponder over the bombshell God dropped into my spirit. The choice is truly mine.

  • When God told Abraham to offer Issac as a sacrifice, He didn't pray about it but made a choice to obey (Genesis 22:1-24).
  • When Potiphar's wife asked Joseph to come lay with her, he didn't pray before he flee. He made a choice not to sin against God (Genesis 39: 7-16).
  • When the three Hebrew boys were commanded by the King to bow to the golden image, they made the choice not to bow to no image but to God ( Daniel 3: 8-18).
  • The woman with the issue of blood received her healing through faith. She made the choice to have faith in God and not in Physicians (Mat 9:20-22; Mark 5:25-34; Luk 8:43-47).
  • Jesus did not force Peter to walk on the water but he made the choice to do so (Matthew 14 : 25-29).

God won't force you and I to do anything unless we are so willing. You have the choice to worship Him or not to. We have been too busy to worship God; we are so preoccupied with our job, children, marriage, business and all kind of things. You will hear things like," God will understand-He knows what I'm passing through." You are so right my brothers and sisters . May I ask you," What do you have that God has not given you? What do you have that He cannot take away from you in a second?"

God has given us the choice to make. He has laid down His commandments and the choice is ours to follow.

Glory to God!
